Soft Wash
Soft washing is a cleaning technique that involves the use of gentle water pressure or chemicals to eliminate bacteria, algae, and other organic blemishes from roofs and the outer surfaces of buildings.
What is Soft Wash?
Soft wash is the controlled use of chemicals and biocides that allows us to clean in a non-aggressive way. This is particularly important when cleaning surfaces such as roof tiles and render that can be damaged through the use of high pressure cleaning. The biocides used in soft washing are able to penetrate deeper into the substrate than water alone thus killing off any remaining spores previously left behind through other cleaning methods. When applied to a pre-cleaned, porous surface, a substantial amount of the active ingredient-DDAC will remain. This residue will slowly biodegrade over time with the onset of damp conditions but only when it comes into contact with living spores and other organic material. This residual protection will continue to fight and prevent the re-colonisation of all microbiological contaminants for up to 2 years!
